Drywall

The drywall crew are right out of the Saturday matinee, (Laurel and Hardy, the Three Stooges, and the Keystone Cops all rolled into one production). These guys fell over one another, tripped over their power cords, screwed panels to the walls before cutting the openings for the windows and could not cut a straight edge.

They did not cover the furnace vents or air returns, so we will have to have the stuff cleaned out before we start the furnace.

If they do this for a living, why can't they do it without punching holes in the wall and/or leaving half-inch gaps between panels?

The bathroom/utility area is supposed to be lined in green (water-resistant) drywall.

They had green left over. Why is it not in the bathroom?

Taped over, it will all look OK.
